Rovers travelled to the land of rugby league and pies to take on one of the pre-season favourites – Wigan. The Sunday start seemed to confuse the locals, who appeared to forget to turn up. Backed by a healthy travelling support, Rovers should’ve been in front inside three minutes, but Harry Forrester failed to turn home Andy Williams’ backheel.
