popular STAND fanzine donates £2,000 to Doncaster charities

Last month I, along with two other writers of this fanzine, was lucky enough to be at a big swanky awards do in Leicester Square. This was the annual FSA Awards, and though they ushered us in via a side entrance less we get ideas above our station, it was still the sort of do that has table plans and a three course meal of immaculately laid out cuisine, and big screens that run you through the nominees.

There’s an adage football fans have long forgotten, that if we can’t say something nice, we shouldn’t say anything at all. So instead of writing about our current season I’ve cast my mind back to another time of Keepmoat Stadium upheaval. Statistics don’t always tell the full story of a game of football, but three shots on target between the two sides in the whole 90 minutes provides a pretty fair insight into an encounter sickeningly labelled by some on social media as the LNER derby.
